It's new, it's vogue, it's the place to be

At Westwoods, our commitment to our members’ wellness is at the centre of everything we do and our new Wellness Studio is another way for us to demonstrate that commitment and help our members re-balance their lives. We recognise that life is moving at a pace far faster than most of us would like and our new studio is designed to slow it all down. Classes are included in all memberships except Westwoods Swim and Junior categories and we offer a variety of classes aimed at increasing flexibility, lessening stress and slowing down, suitable for all levels. Join us and forget about the stresses of everyday life and find your balance at Westwoods.



Mindfulness is described as a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique. Our instructors use guided meditation and other techniques to help our members slow down and live in the present moment.

We believe that by living in the present moment, we can take responsibility for our actions without regretting the past or stressing about the future. Now is the time to take care of yourself physically, emotionally and mentally.

Pilates at Westwoods

Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates, after whom it was named. It has since become a real trend in the fitness world enjoyed by millions and is one of our members’ most popular forms of relaxation and exercise. Our new Wellness Studio is the perfect place for us to offer various styles of Pilates classes with members having the convenience of booking online our through the Westwoods app.



Invigorate the mind and body, improve your posture, core-stability and flexibility and create long and lean muscles at the same time. This is achieved using a series of flowing, full range movements.

Fitness Pilates


You will be taken through a series of exercises to increase the flow of movement and flexibility as well as building strength to develop a strong core while improving your coordination and balance.

Power Pilates


Power Pilates is a focused practice that emphasises balance, control and strength. This is a challenging, focused Pilates workout that will burn fat and tone muscles. This class is suited to intermediate to advanced attendees.

Yoga at Westwoods

Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India. As a busy world dictates our daily routines, many have turned to yoga to bring a sense of balance back into their lives. At Westwoods, we believe that wellness incorporates both physical and mental strength.

Mixed form Yoga


Mixed Form Yoga incorporates a variety of yoga practices to fully engage the mind and body, improving overall strength, flexibility and breathing. This class is perfect for reducing stress and relieving tension.

Restorative Yoga


Restorative Yoga sequences involve a small number of poses supported by props to allow you to focus on relaxation and rest, while developing the skills and abilities to self-soothe and heal.

Yin Yoga


Yin is a style of yoga that focuses on engaging the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, thighs and lower spine - through a series of long-held, passive floor poses.

Power Yoga

Power Yoga incorporates the athleticism of Ashtanga, including lots of vinyasas (series of poses done in sequence), but gives the teacher the flexibility to teach any pose in any order, making every class different. Power yoga is a fitness-based style of practice, focusing on building internal heat and increasing stamina, strength and flexibility and is a great style of yoga for reducing stress.

Hatha Yoga


Hatha Yoga includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.

Yinyasa Yoga


Vinyasa is a style of yoga that focuses on stringing poses together, moving from one posture to another, seamlessly, using the breath to help the movements flow.

Iyengar Yoga


Iyengar Yoga is a practice that is about breath control and posture. It focuses on alignment and strengthens the muscles of the body responsible for posture, like legs, back and core. The class at Westwoods is a general class, suitable for most people.
