Better people make better players
Richard and his team are strong believers in teaching children the importance of humility, respect and sportsmanship within a team environment, so by the end of the week’s camp your child will not only have developed their core rugby skills but will also have learned many important values associated with sport.

Richard Mill
02
Richard has played rugby for clubs in Scotland, England and Australia and is honoured to have represented Scotland in their 7s and Club International teams. Richard has a wide knowledge of a variety of sports both in coaching and playing. He currently works as the Head of Boys’ Games at Fettes College Preparatory School alongside being Housemaster of a boys boarding house. His previous role was as a Housemaster at St. Mary’s School, Melrose, where he started his teaching career. During that time, he played rugby for Melrose Rugby Club and he now plays for Edinburgh Academicals Rugby Club. Richard has a keen desire to see individual and team goals achieved through hard work, having fun and working with humility. His positive attitude and huge enthusiasm create a fun and engaging camp environment, inspiring all his players to be the best that they can possibly be, both on and off the field. He has a passion for instilling a sense of ‘I can’ in young people which he hopes can give them confidence to play freely and have the courage to try new things.
Core Skill Development
At the very heart of our rugby camp, players will not only develop their technical skills but will learn the importance of teamwork, leadership, loyalty and sportsmanship. Technical skill development will include kicking, passing, running, tackling, vision, fitness, communication and game sense.
